Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of Rockstar Games, has its Q1 report scheduled for August 8. With the quarterly report coming up, the devs are speculated to make some announcements that will try to satiate fans with news of more upcoming titles. Since fans have requested a Red Dead Remaster for a long time, most believe the upcoming announcement will feature news of the epic Wild West title.

An industry insider has also seemingly confirmed this speculation. Twitter user Gaming Detective has revealed that Take-Two’s announcement of a Red Dead Redemption Remaster may surprise fans tomorrow.

However, the Twitter account also acknowledged that the announcement may also come later this month, weeks after Take-Two’s earnings call. Yet, an unprecedented arrival sooner will be much appreciated by the fans, nonetheless.

Where the rumors of a Red Dead Redemption remake started

Considering how RDR 2 is not a sequel but a prequel that has to do with what happened before the storyline of the first RDR installment, the demands of fans for a remake of the latter are understandable. With RDR2’s jaw-dropping gameplay and narrative blowing fans away yet again, many expressed wishes to get back in the shoes of John Marston once more as he tries to rescue his kidnapped wife and child. There’s a lot of potential for a remarkable title that developers can tap into.

As per a report on IGN, a potential leak from South Korea’s Game Rating and Administration Committee (GRAC) was the reason for a lot of buzz in June. The board apparently listed a title named Red Dead Redemption with a new rating, which was clearly a different title from the 2010 release. More recently, a new logo also appeared on the Rockstar Games website, further strengthening the rumors. This was also picked up by an industry insider.
