This is because, a recent Mortal Kombat leak reveals the game’s dialogues featuring a terrifying antagonist, who made all of his victims’ souls scream in fear behind a mask. Did Mortal Kombat 1 teaser hint about Scream’s iconic Ghostface debut?

Mortal Kombat 1’s recent leak reveals the game’s dialogues where Omni-Man and Takeda’s descriptions about a character match perfectly with Scream’s legendary anti-hero, Ghostface. This character is predicted to join Kombat pack 2 edition of the game. Nineties kids can relate to the name Scream since this franchise’s iconic antagonist Ghostface became a true nightmare for many after its debut in 1996.

Dressed in a black robe with a face hidden behind a scream mask, his villain is known not to use any gruesome threats for victims. Instead, they use a tape which produces a record matching the speaker’s sound with the killer. Popularly Freddy Kruger gave voice to Scream’s iconic Ghostface. This source revealed two screenshots where both Omni-Man and Takeda suggested a character who wears a mask and uses a knife. Now according to the leak, this iconic villain will be available with Mortal Kombat 1’s Kombat pack 2.

Takeda’s comment about taking more than a mask and a cloak for scaring him also suggested that maybe Mortal Kombat 1’s upcoming surprise is none other than Ghostface. Now many players wanted Ghostface in Mortal Kombat 1, looking at the franchise’s obsession with Pop culture villains. Looking at these screenshots, they are pretty confident that their wishes are finally coming true.

Although NetherRealm officially didn’t confirm Ghostface’s presence for Kombat pack 2, they surely cheered up fans by announcing DC’s Peacemaker and Omni-Man from Invincible. Not just that, John Cena’s confirmed voice for Peacemaker took fans to the next level of excitement. In fact, NetherRealm also promised JK Simmon’s voice for Omni-man. which they eventually achieved for fans. Following these Mortal Kombat 1’s craze set a new standard for success.
