The life-cycle of Nintendo’s popular life-simulation title, Animal Crossing, has now entered its second decade. With every year, the studio has rolled out a brand new iteration of the game. Animal Crossing New Horizons is the latest addition to the franchise that refuses to slow down. Much like the games, various events within the title have also seen massive changes over the years.
Events like Festivale, Shamrock day, Halloween, Mario Day, and more. With each event, the title added new special furniture, items, souvenir, and more that players can use to decorate their island. Mario Day is seen as one of the important events that have been featured across the majority of the titles.

In New Horizons, the game offers all the special seasonal goods in a special category within Nook Shop. Gamers can access all the available items and purchase them during the event. In the case of Mario Day, the event will offer a massive range of special items like 1up mushroom, the question mark block, the block, the coin, fire flower, floating blocks, teleporting pipe, goal post, and many more items from the franchise. Nintendo even allows the player base to dress up as Mario, Lugi, Princess Peach, and Wario during the event. These costumes can be purchased from the Nook shop as well.

However, the follow-up sequel in City Folks (Let’s go to the city) allowed fans to freely acquire the items without serving them as a DLC. Fans could collect these items by shooting down balloons that showed up on the island. Lastly, in New Leaf, the studio offered all the items via fortune cookies, which can be purchased with a special currency earned within the game.
