Take-Two Interactive canceled out a 2K game
In 2021, as the Covid-19 pandemic struck the world with its second wave, the gaming industry came to a halt along with the entire world. During this period, 2K games were planning on completing a number of games that were in production for quite some time. In this list of games, there was also an unannounced game developed by Hangar 13.
According to reports by Bloomberg, Volt, the code name for the unreleased game, was supposedly taken down by the developers and the publishers Take-Two Interactive, who said that the game was facing some technical issues at first. Later, they announced that the game had been under rugs for some time now.
This was also a part of the fact that last year in November, when the news broke out of this $53 Million project getting shut down, the world was still recovering from the pandemic. Thus, it looked like the game had to face some internal conflicts with the developing team to make the studio work.

But with the latest change in their work ethics and allowing developers and artists to work in a much more comfortable environment, it seems like the company has been taking some leaks. This was speculated because of the fact that the change in the pace might have left some loose ends for the company, which made GTA 6 footage leak recently.
That is why it seems back in November last year, Take-Two had to let go of the unannounced game to make it easier for the company and the employees to make things more sublime than before. Thus making sense of why there is a sudden change in the development team’s mood and tone. It proves that it is very unlikely for the studio to close any upcoming video game after this massive change in their policies.
