Bungie’s massive layoff pointed many fingers toward Sony. However, a trusted source revealed something completely different than what fans expected. An insider of the company itself said that CEO Pete Parsons along with executives gave away their bonuses to avoid layoffs. However, no Bungie staff had the slightest clue about it before. This employee further added that Sony didn’t take part in the layoff situation but it helped Bungie to recover after an insignificant response following Destiny 2’s release. Surprised isn’t it?

Previously Sony mentioned dropping 1.2 billion extra to ensure Bungie’s employee retention. However, that didn’t go too well.  According to this insider,  Bungie is currently not holding Joe Blackburn, the director of Destiny 2 as the main culprit of the situation.
