A recent debate was seen booming online as well as in the central columns of popular publications regarding the sudden surge of ‘Nepo Babies’ in Hollywood, and their prominence in the field as they get cast easily and gain extra benefits due to their family background. However, as many were seen agreeing with the fact, Hasan Piker, who is also a product of early nepotism himself, was seen giving a much more interesting take on the matter.

He was heard speaking out against nepotism during his recent broadcasts. He undoubtedly recognized that the true harm is caused by the extra privileges that a “Nepo baby” receives, rather than the entire practice itself.
Streamer Hasan Piker says that getting extra benefits is more harmful than actual Nepotism itself in Hollywood
Hasan, who himself is a nephew of Chunk Yogurt, a Turkish-American Political commentator, says that Nepotism may not be always bad while giving examples of actors like “Ben Stiller” and “Rober Downey Jr.” His argument was simple it is very common to see Nepotism in several fields of employment, and Hollywood is just more prominent in the matter because of its money-making factor.
Hasan Piker regarding his story said, “I f**king went and worked with The Young Turks [owned by his uncle Chunk Yogurt] because I couldn’t get a f**king job literally anywhere else other than selling insurance.” He also said that the reason why Nepotism is bad for outsiders is due to the extra benefits that the kids of famous Hollywood personalities get.

Hasan regarding his take said, “the main reason why it [nepotism] is kind of f**ked up is because people don’t have access to these opportunities. Regardless the real nepotism is the hidden nepotism, or the real benefits of being a nepotist child is the hidden benefits that you get. It’s the same as being from an affluent family. The hidden benefits that you get from being born to a wealthy family.”
