Third-party customizable controllers for PlayStation 5 are pretty pricey all over the board. But Razer’s newly launched controller is on a whole other level in terms of price. The premium controller is heating up the community on the internet.

Not all users prefer the analog stick arrangement in the PlayStation controllers. Some of them prefer the top left placement of the left thumbstick, akin to Xbox controllers. But the only way to get a controller with that analog stick formation is to get a third-party one.
Third-party controllers can be pricey, but rarely anyone can match the levels of Razer. Razer is an American-Singaporean multinational technology company that designs, develops, and sells consumer electronics, financial services, and gaming hardware. They specialize in premium gaming accessories, like their newly launched Wolverine V2 Pro for the PlayStation 5.
Razer’s new Wolverine Pro Series for PlayStation 5 and PC
PlayStation 5 is about to receive yet another pricey customizable premium controller. Razer newly launched the Wolverine V2 Pro series of controllers for the PlayStation 5 and PC. The price of the controller is US$249.99, almost $50 more than the upcoming Sony DualSense Edge.
The controller has an analog stick formation similar to Xbox controllers. The left analog stick is placed on the top left. Which, according to some users, offers much better movement. Wolverine V2 Pro has much fewer features compared to DualShock Edge. But has some goodies like magnetic stick caps, four back paddles, and six re-mappable shoulder buttons.
But if the price is too high for this one, there is another variant, which comes with a much cheaper price tag. The $149.99 Xbox-themed and wired Wolverine V2 Chroma can be a good option to look for.
How did the fans react to the new controller?
On November 9, 2022, Journalist Tom Warren reported the news on Twitter. Warren wrote in the tweet, “Razer’s customizable PS5 controller has an Xbox-style analog stick arrangement and two additional stick caps that can be swapped magnetically. But… it’s $249.99.” Fans jumped into the replies of the tweet to express their thoughts on the controller and its price. They also made some points on the design, that it looks like the old Xbox controllers.

I Just want a cheap 3rd party with the offset sticks to use with the ps5.
Right now I'm using a modded remote play app to use my series X controller on the ps5.
All the 3rd party controllers so far have been overpriced.
