Roderick George Toombs, better known as “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, was a Canadian professional wrestler, amateur wrestler, and actor. Although he never won the world champion title, he accumulated thirty-four championships in various promotions during his career.

Furthermore, Piper was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005; the legend passed away on July 31, 2015. The WWE Hall of Fame is a hall of fame that honors professional wrestlers and professional wrestling personalities maintained by WWE.

Paul Gale is a video game journalist and author of Lisek’s Great. He met Roddy Piper back in 2002 at the E3 event where Piper helped him promote Acclaim’s Legends of Wrestling II. Legends of Wrestling II is a professional wrestling video game developed by Acclaim Studios Salt Lake City and published by Acclaim Entertainment.

It was released on November 26, 2002, for both the PlayStation 2 and GameCube and later became available for the Xbox on December 5, 2002. Paul also mentioned his opinion about Piper’s nature and claimed he was full of energy, overwhelmingly kind, and as appreciative of fans as we were of him being there.

Furthermore, his tweet read, “I told him that he is great. And he said, “Thank you, maybe before I got old!” with a nice laugh. Then I said, “You still are!” and he was just really genuine. Thank you sir for being a blast and for all you’ve done. Be good up there.”

Indeed, Piper was known as a living legend both in his wrestling and WWE career. Back in 2005, when he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame by Ric Flair, who dubbed him “the most gifted entertainer in the history of professional wrestling”
