Valkyrae has been trying to rebrand lately. Just a few days ago, the American streamer made the shocking decision to change her username to ‘JUST VALKY’ on Twitter. This came in light of the Addison Rae ‘Screen Break’ controversy, and it made sense why the streamer would want to distance herself from the product before the loose links “RFLCTed” poorly on her.

But on February 7, the streamer changed her username yet again, this time to just ‘Rachel’. “I’ve been Rae for so long that Rachel just doesn’t feel right,” she said in the tweet. The move has left her fans shocked, as many of them wonder why the streamer made the successive changes.

Valkyrae becomes Rachel on Twitter

The ‘Queen of YouTube’ found herself in a tough situation recently. After Addison Rae launched her blue-light protecting face mist, ‘Screen Break’, many netizens noticed the similarity between it and Valkyrae’s association with RFLCT. The skincare line had ended in disaster for the 100 Thieves co-owner. So Rae quickly took action and rebranded on Twitter to exclude herself from the Sun’raes’ in a hilarious tweet.

However, not even a full week later, Valkyrae has gone from being ‘JUST VALKY’ to just ‘Rachel’. And the internet has been having a field day with the news.

However, it remains to be seen whether Valkyrae plans to stick to this username long term. The streamer has a lot on her plate right now, having just made her return to YouTube after a streaming break. Additionally, she has renewed her contract with the red platform; although Rae refused to disclose any details.

In a recent episode of the OfflineTV Podcast, Valkyrae talks with Disguised Toast about feeling guilty after leaving Twitch, how it felt to disappoint her fans, and the obstacles she faced whilst making the shift to a new platform. So it’s a good thing that she didn’t switch again.
