Rachell “Valkyrae” Hofstetter is one of the biggest streamers on YouTube who amasses hundreds of thousands of views, and it won’t be wrong to call her the ‘Queen of Streaming.’ Further, she proved why she is worthy of this title at the ongoing TwitchCon 2022 in San Diego.

TwitchCon is a fan convention hosted by the live-streaming platform Twitch. In this event, fans get the opportunity to meet with their favorite streamers. However, this fan convention is meant for Twitch Streamers, but Valkyrae ended up with the biggest crowd despite being a YouTube streamer.

Valkyrae was the star of TwitcCon San Diego 2022

The TwitchCon returned after a two-year-long hiatus because of the global pandemic. But a lot happened during this long break. Many elite streamers transitioned to YouTube, including Valkyrae. The American streamer signed a contract with YouTube, because of which she can only stream on the red platform now.

Despite the exclusive YouTube contract, she can still attend Twitch events like the ongoing fan convention in San Diego. So, the 30-year-old attended the TwitchCon with fellow YouTube streamer Sykkuno. Later, a video went viral where it can be seen there was a massive crowd of fans surrounding Valkyrae outside the doors of the ‘meet-and-greet’ area for Disguised Toast.

Further, Toast came out to get Rae from there and later shared that the YouTube streamer had the biggest fan crowd in a Twitch event. He said, “After seeing that, I feel much better. My God, Rae, who’s not even a Twitch partner, has the largest crowd out of anyone I’ve seen so far.” Toast again addressed this scene on the OTV Podcast with Scarra and Brodin.

Rae finally named her fan community

Every streamer has a fan community, and they have names. Like Disguised Toast and Fuslie call their fans Toasters and Leslers, respectively. However, Valkyrae is an elite streamer who didn’t have a name for her fanbase. So, Rae’s friends, like HasanAbi, tried suggesting some names, but Rae didn’t like them.

Finally, Rae revealed the name she seems fitting for her fans, Raebies. Valkyrae’s friends on stream questioned her choice. Rae explained that she once hated it too, but grew accustomed to it. Valkyrae claimed that she and her fans are like a virus that will infect everyone with joy and happiness.
