However, Lenovo is releasing its own handheld gaming device, Legion Go, to rival Valve’s Steam Deck, which was launched only a few days ago.

Undoubtedly, Lenovo’s upcoming handheld gaming device, Legion Go has ignited a lot of excitement among fans before its release. With an 8-inch-wide screen and old kickstand display, Legion Go will feature two control pads on the two sides of the screen.
It is speculated that Lenovo will likely offer a 2500 x 1600-pixel QHD IPS display with VRR. With this specification, it is speculated that such higher pixels with the same processor might offer lower frame rates and battery life. Previously rumors said from the design that this device’s controller pads might be detachable, which hinted that Legion Go will likely feature a touch screen.

As Insider Gaming has mentioned, this handheld gaming device will also offer an AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor chip with a 3.3 GHz base clock and a 5.1 GHz boost clock. Legion Go will also have 8 core and 12 RDNA3 Control Units. Further, this device’s APU will feature a Ryzen 7 7840U with specific watt and voltage required for gaming. Legion Go will have a 49.2 WHr battery as well. Furthermore, Lenovo’s device will feature 7500 MHz LPDDR5X RAM with internal storage of up to 1 TB.

Some more devices similar to Lenovo Legion Go
Apart from Valve’s Steam Deck, there are similar handheld gaming devices in the market, that function similarly to the upcoming Legion Go by Lenovo. These devices are AyaNeo 2S, which is another Chinese handheld gaming computer launched in 2022. Priced at $1099, this device received moderate appreciation from fans. Logitech also launched Logitech G Cloud, the first dedicated cloud gaming device. It can perform similar games like Steam Deck and Lenovo Legion Go.
Furthermore, Asus released its ROG Ally, which tried to present tough competition to Valve Steam Deck. However, fans didn’t like the device as much as they appreciated the Valve gaming device.
