The delay of the Halo: Infinite campaign-related information has been something that had definitely disappointed fans previously. Portions of the campaign were revealed by 343 Industries in Summer 2020 and since then, 343 has been relatively quiet about it.
The development of the Campaign mode might have been delayed, but it seems like some new reveals regarding the campaign might present themselves before the release of the game on December 8.

It might be likely that the disappointing approach from Microsoft since the initial release of Halo: Infinite footage might have been a larger cause for the developers to delay the game from 2020 to 2021.
Now that the game is due for release in December, it is long overdue for 343 to release more footage. They stated that they would release more footage before the game’s release but might have been holding it off to focus on the post-production of the game.
Halo: Infinite will be out December 8 for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
