In her latest stream on Twitch, Pokimane’s eyes caught a comment in the chat. The comment read, “You need more women around you Poki who are willing to talk.” After this comment, Pokimane was quick to share her views and talked about the “sad truth” of being a female streamer. She is currently the most-followed female streamer on Twitch. However, it still does not shield her from all the backlash. Poki feels it affects the other female streamers on this platform too.

“The way that people treat me deters any other women in this space from genuinely talking about their honest opinions,” she said, “Or behaving probably how they want to because they recognize the treatment they can expect.” She was more concerned about the small streamers on Twitch. She further went on to share an encounter with a fellow female streamer. The fellow streamer shared how she was afraid of opinions due to Pokimane facing so much criticism in the past.
