Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is the upcoming game in the famous Pocket Monster series. These two would be the first game in the ninth generation of this video game series. And this game takes place in the new Paldea region, meaning many old features made it into the game while many new features would also introduce themselves.
A new evolution for a classic Pokemon in Scarlet and Violet
One of the most famous things about Pokemon is undoubtedly evolution. Whenever the Pokemon fans see the message “What? Your Pokemon is evolving!” they have a chill down their spine out of excitement. So if someone claiming to be a true Pokemon fan must know about evolution.
But for those new to the Pokemon verse, evolution is one of the most crucial features in-game. It can be explained as a power-up that a Pocket Monster receives after meeting certain requirements, like reaching a specific level. This feature has been in the game since the first-gen game, which was released in 1996.

With the upcoming game, the classic Normal/Psychic-type Girafarig is getting an evolution. The second-generation games, Gold and Silver, introduced this Pokemon, but it didn’t have an evolution. Finally, Girafarig has an evolution Farigiraf in the new Paldea region-based games, Scarlet and Violet.
What is a Farigiraf?
Farigiraf is the evolution of the second-gen Pocket Monster, Girafarig. It is a Long Neck Pokemon according to the Pokedex, and a Normal/Psychic-type like its previous form. Moreover, the head and tail of the Girafarig fuse during its evolution. Even its official description states, “the head of its main body and the head from its tail has become one.”
