Nintendo would be removing characters from Pokemon to fix its performance issues!
Nintendo and developer Game Freak have been struggling to fix Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s performance issues on Nintendo Switch. The games suffered from numerous glitches and bugs. Those glitches and bugs resulted in weird problems with these games.
Nintendo and Game Freak have been quick to own their mistakes, and have been trying to fix these issues. But it appears these issues would need more than a few tweaks to fix.
One such fix that Nintendo has planned is limiting the number of characters and creatures that spawn near the player character. Sometimes, if the game spawns too many characters in front of the character, the mix of AI and visuals can really put a lot of weight on the hardware.
And maybe that’s why Nintendo decided to take this step. This change would be dropped into this game in a coming update. This update is expected to drop sometime in February. We cannot wait for it to drop and see how much difference this change makes in the game’s performance.
Is it really the issue with the characters though?
Games nowadays have complex visual designs. This complex design can lead to them pushing the hardware they run on to its limits. Games like Doom Eternal are the most prominent example of such complex design.
