Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet Trailer Reveals Exciting Iberian Inspiration

A whole new world of Pokemon is here! Anyone who loves Pokemon will be much happier to learn that a brand new Pokemon game was announced recently. Long-time Pokemon series developer, Game Freak officially announced that Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are confirmed for an official release later this year for Switch. However, unfortunately, there is no specific window other than late 2022.

While the chief attraction of the official trailer is the release of three brand new starter Pokemon, fans are already drawing wild conclusions about the region. The upcoming Pokemon entry seems to emphasize the location’s beauty and charm.

From stunning plazas and vibrant locales to beautiful mountains and hills, the unnamed region definitely seems to be inspired by Spain.

The different landmarks and locales that were shown off in the trailer major point towards beautiful Spain. From the architecture to style of house and, not to mention, even the calming lake from the trailer looks very similar to Sanabria lake in Spain. Moreover, the big spiral castle-type structure in the trailer is pretty much pointing towards Spanish influence.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet promise a variety of environments, which mainly make sense for the Spanish region. The mountains would allow for a vast grassland, with chapels and castles making the most fascinating contrast with calming lakes and beaches across Spain.

Given the fact that the announcement of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet came hot on the heels of Pokemon Legend Arceus’s success, the opportunities are endless. However, something worth noting here is that the region hasn’t been confirmed officially yet. But people can speculate and theorize.

With a new generation of Pokemon games, fans are in for a treat in 2022.
