Pokemon Legends Arceus Leaves Critics Impressed Ahead of Its Widely Hyped Launch

Pokemon Legends Arceus is surely going to go well with the fans when it comes out this week. At least that’s what the early reviews are indicating as the embargo was just lifted. The game’s impressions for those who got to try it are out now and most of them have been positive, to say the least.

And now that the early critic reactions are in, Pokemon Legends Arceus seems to be a hit before it’s out.

Major reputable platforms have given it a go prior to its arrival.

Critics give thumbs up to Pokemon Legends Arceus

Coming straight to the early reviews themselves, some popular websites have admired the title which is set to make its debut on Friday. And when it comes to platforms themselves, then Metacritic is the go-to place for any general user.

Pokemon Legends Arceus has a stellar score of 85 right now, based on 35 critic reviews as of this writing. And of course, the score we are mentioning is for Nintendo Switch, since Pokemon Legends Arceus is coming exclusively for the console.

Meanwhile, in case anyone is not aware of Pokemon Legends Arceus, somehow, then it’s the eighth entry in the Pokemon gaming series. Additionally, it’s also a prequel to 2006’s Pokemon Diamonds and Pearls, 2008’s Pokemon Platinum, and the remakes titled Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl from 2021.

Arceus brings back the core gameplay mechanics of its predecessors. In the game, players will capture wild Pokemons in the over-world without engaging in the battles. Although for controlling aggressive ones, they will need to fight them before catching them.

To start the battles, players will have to release a Pokemon they have caught near a Pokemon they are going to capture. At the beginning of the gameplay, three options will be available to them: Rowlet, Cyndaquil, and Oshawott.

Pokemon Legends Arceus comes out on January 28, 2022, for Nintendo Switch.
