Apple iPhone users are getting a classic Nintendo 3ds game!
Pocket card jockey is a very different game that was developed by Game Freak and launched for the Nintendo 3ds system back in 2013. The game eventually made its way to Android and IOS devices in 2014. But that was only in Japan.
It is basically a Solitaire mixed with horses and racing. This is a weird combination indeed, but the game initially received some very rave reviews. Even though it did not get much traction sales-wise, some hardcore fans really loved this game and still play it on their 3dses to this day.
This mashup of horse racing and card swapping currently holds a score of 83 on Metacritic, which is better than most games that publishers usually unload on ios and android.
And to make things a little more interesting, this game also has a little story mode. Switching cards and racing horses with some really good-looking minimalistic visuals, this game has a lot going for it.
Game Freak’s Pocket Card Jockey: Ride On would be released on the ios Apple arcade game service on January 20, 2023. If you are an owner of Apple’s game pass-like video game rental service, we would suggest you give this game a go. It is totally worth it.

Apple Arcade has been getting a number of big titles lately
Apple started its Arcade service to provide its users with a bunch of high-quality premium games. IOS users can try out all of these games without having to spend a pretty penny on any of them. All they have to pay is a monthly subscription fee of 4.99$.
In return, users get games like Horizon Chase 2, Shovel Knight, Sneaky sasquatch, and The Pathless. It has become a hub for a number of high-quality indie titles on ios. Usually, these indie games launch on mobile devices with a small premium price and struggle to compete with those free-to-play games.
