Sony boss confirms PS’s priority on third-person games

Recently in an interview with Famitsu magazine, Sony’s Jim Ryan narrated some of their strategy with PS5’s sale. In this strategy, he mentioned how PS will always make games that offer beautiful narratives but are from a third-person perspective. Now looking at Final Fantasy XVI and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, fans can surely understand Sony’s obsession with third-person games.

Not just that, Ryan also mentioned how with these titles PS is expecting a skyrocketed sale of their PS5 device- “Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, is being developed exclusively for PS5, so the developers have made no compromises. We ask them to focus on maximizing the functions of the PS5 and creating the best works. As a result, we’ve received feedback from game fans that it looks like they’ll be able to enjoy really beautiful visuals and a wonderful experience.”
While Ryan’s comments directed how the company focuses on third-person PS exclusive titles to enhance the experience of current PS owners, he thinks releasing the title for PC after two or three years is acceptable. Now that the gamers do not oppose this idea as long as they get to play their favorite PS titles, Sony can continue depending on their third-person PS games for market sustainability.
