PlayStation owners take pride in the fact that most PlayStation exclusives are only available for PlayStation consoles. While that is still somewhat true, things seem to be changing. Over the years, a lot of games have lost their PS exclusive status, including titles like Horizon Zero Dawn and Death Stranding. And now, another game is about to lose its PS exclusive status. Oddworld: Soulstorm has recently been announced for Xbox devices including Xbox Series X.

The announcement came recently from the developers of the game, Oddworld Inhabitants, that the game would come to the Xbox devices. And the above trailer was made available to the public at the same time. Xbox users are super happy that the game is making its way to their preferred consoles. But PlayStation owners aren’t too pleased about the announcement.

Oddworld: Soulstorm – all there is to know about the upcoming Xbox release

Oddworld: Soulstorm made its appearance on PlayStation consoles, both 5 and 4, as well as on the PC a couple of months ago in April. The game is a platformer. And players will assume control of Abe, the main character of the game. Abe’s mission is to save his comrades, the Mudokons, from exploitation at the hands of the barbaric Glukkons.

Players will be able to craft new items. The materials need to craft these items can be obtained by pick-pocketing enemies, and inside objects that players can interact with.

A lot of gamers love platformers. And this game has a lot to offer in terms of an enjoyable platforming experience. That said, the game has had a lot of bugs and glitches that needed to be fixed. And there are a lot of updates that have been released to fix those issues. Fortunately, when the game finally comes to Xbox devices, the game will bring those updates.

No release date has been revealed so far, but gamers expect that the game will release later this year.
