For the past couple of months, Xbox was leading the connectivity department as it allowed users to use discord in-game. This was a game-changer for the franchise, as fans could now jam to songs, talk to friends without any hassles, and play their favorite titles. Despite Xbox having a ‘party’ system, the discord update was much required as users complained of facing issues in the primary system.

Looking at this, Sony also decided to add a similar service for PlayStation users and stay in the game. Plus, Discord, being like a ‘WhatsApp’ for gamers, now allowed them to connect with friends and family while cruising through their favorite titles. 

Just like Xbox, PlayStation also had its party service but faced limitations for the same. So, to overcome that hurdle, its parent company partnered with a social media giant. And the news has also gained back fans’ faith as they were highly disappointed with their recent product price. 

While this massive collaboration is still in its beta phase, either party is constantly working to make it better. So, once they cover up every pothole, it won’t be wrong to say that they will rule the industry once again.
