Sony is working hard on bringing the PlayStation 5 consoles to its fans. In terms of software, they are doing great job, but initially, their hardware sales were lack-luster due to limited stock availability.
It has only stabilized recently, and the sales picked up quite fast. Then rumors started dropping in for a bunch of different upcoming PlayStation 5 models: A slim model, a pro model, and even the PlayStation 6 were in the works, it seems. These were only rumors until recently when an online store gave a brief description of this upcoming model.

Sony has a knack for console redesigns; they did it with PlayStation 2, 3, and even 4. All those consoles started life as huge, intimidating pieces of hardware and eventually got new designs that were sleeker and slimmer.
PlayStation 3 even received two slim iterations; one of them was slim, which was then followed by a super slim version of that console. Even the PSP was redesigned: Slim, then PSP Go.
So, the news of the PlayStation 5 Slim’s existence did not come as a surprise. What was curious was the fact that there had been no update from the console holder yet. But everyone is aware of that huge showcase that Sony is holding in the coming months. The one that will probably blow all the fans’ minds.
And everyone is expecting the new, redesigned version of this console to be revealed during that showcase. But weeks before that, an online retailer by the name of The Good Guys might have revealed some initial details on this console. It appears this redesigned, slimmer console would come in different colors. The website says, “The new look, slimmer PlayStation 5 – incredibly vivid, vibrant colours with breathtaking HDR visuals and immersion – whether you’re gaming or streaming movies and TV shows.“
Fans are hoping it’s true, as the PlayStation 5 looks like an awesome console.
This showcase is also expected to bring with it a bunch of new game announcements. From the new Bluepoint games projects to Spider-Man 2, fans can expect a lot of new things to show up. And if it comes, the biggest news would be that of a PlayStation 5 Pro, which is rumored to launch sometime next year.
There are some contradictions though!

Even though this listing says some really exciting things about this upcoming console, there are some who suggest that it might be a listing created years ago for PlayStation 4 Slim console. But one thing that contradicts even this claim is the fact that PlayStation 4 Slim never had vivid colorful models. They came in black, and sometimes in special editions based on several games. But they never had colors to choose from.
Apparently this has been there since 2021 (thanks @VideoCardz).
Going through the archives it looks like this was originally written for the PS4 Slim and they just changed the 4 to a 5.
