Every month, Sony gives the subscribers of the PlayStation Plus service a bunch of new games to enjoy. These games often range from small indie titles to massive Triple-A games. For example, in September, PlayStation Plus subscribers got Saints Row. This open-world action game was accompanied by Black Desert: Traveler Edition, an open-world online RPG, and Generation Zero, an independent game. Now, players can look forward to the October lineup. And while players wait, there has been a leak.
If a leak is to be believed, the next lineup will not be any different. PlayStation subscribers are all set to get a bunch of new games. And no, none of those games is the Last of Us Part 2, as previously suggested. Maybe Sony is holding it for a later date.

Just because there is no TLOU2, does not mean subscribers won’t get a good deal. In fact, this month’s list is full of titles that cannot be any more different from each other.
From open-world superhero titles like Zombie Survival Horror to Indie Space simulator roguelikes, this list has got everything. Fans get seven games in total; here are the most significant of them all.
1. Gotham Knights
Barely weeks after the Xbox Game Pass received Gotham Knights, it’s now PlayStation Plus’s turn. A spin-off of the popular Batman Arkham series of games, this title stands out thanks to its co-op mode. Moreover, instead of featuring Batman himself, this game features his allies trying to keep Gotham City crime-free.
These are none other than Robin, Nightwing, Red Hood, and Batgirl.
2. Disco Elysium: The Final Cut
This is a CRPG for the ages. While most games rely on fast-paced action to capture a player’s attention, Disco Elysium does nothing of that sort. Players patiently go around this game, reading dialogues, giving answers, and asking questions.
This is one of the few RPGs in modern times that can be played completely without initiating any kind of combat. Just talk to the right people and have the right skills.
3. The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes
This is the game that every thrill-seeking horror fan should play. House of Ashes is the third title in the Dark Pictures Anthology horror game series. It takes place in Iraq. As special forces search every direction for a weapon of mass destruction, they instead find a Sumerian temple filled with creatures.
This is not an action game, though. It’s a story that relies on players to take it forward with their choices. Their choices can lead to a number of conclusions.
4. Dead Island Definitive Edition
A zombie survival horror game with a touch of comedy to it. As the name suggests, this game is set on an island. An island resort, to be specific. Just explore, find crafting parts and recipes, craft new weapons and attack zombies. And run when you get overwhelmed. This is how this game works. It is hard to imagine this core gameplay loop getting old anytime soon, as players always come back with some new weapon they put together using a bunch of garbage they find lying around.
5. Alien Isolation
Alien Isolation is yet another survival horror game set in every popular Alien universe. Players are stranded on a huge spaceship, where they are being hunted by a Xenomorph. There are two options: to run or to fight. Fighting does not do much good. Hence, they hide and run and try their best to find a way out of that ship.
The game works, thanks to the high-level AI of the alien. It learns from the player’s actions and reacts accordingly. For example, if players distract it by throwing something in some direction at one point, the alien will learn and not get distracted the next time. This mechanic is much like the Mr Freeze boss fight in Arkham City. Keeping fans on their toes throughout.
There are some indie games too
Besides these massive games, PlayStation Plus in October will also bring a bunch of smaller games to players.
Gungrave G.O.R.E
A fast-paced third-person shooter, full of excellent vistas and bloody kills. This game does not leave any stone unturned when it comes to making players feel like a bada*s.
Elite Dangerous

A Space simulation roguelike where players explore and combat their enemies and die, rinse, and repeat. And an excellent game for those who were bummed about not getting Starfield on PlayStation.
Far: Changing Tides
This game is the direct successor to Far: Lone Sails. A beautiful puzzle adventure title that takes players on a journey through a large post-apocalyptic world in its full 2.5D glory.
