God of War Ragnarok has been an awaited title ever since it was revealed by Santa Monica Studio, the developer behind the blockbuster first installment. Apart from its official trailer, so far, no other extensive detail is available for the God of War Ragnarok. However, recently an industry insider, who keeps track of all things PlayStation, revealed that the sequel might make an appearance this week during a gigantic event.

God of War Ragnarok might be showcased in the Summer Game Fest 2022

As is already known, renowned TV presenter and gaming journalist Geoff Keighley will host the Summer Game Fest this year. The massive event is set to take place on June 9, 2022. It will feature exclusive reveals from upcoming projects. Not to mention that the event will also provide gameplay footage from multiple awaited titles.

Sony is also a part of the Summer Game Fest as PlayStation will have its session among other studios and publishers. Surprisingly, there’s been no hint given by developer Santa Monica Studio in regards to a presentation for God of War Ragnarok.

Albeit, a reputed insider indirectly mentioned God of War fans should not lose hope for the event.

Millie Amand, who’s a reliable PlayStation scooper, posted a tweet on her account on Tuesday. While it didn’t have anything significant, there was just an emoji showcasing an ax. Now anyone familiar with the God of War franchise can clearly interpret what this could mean.

As of now, everyone should take this possibility with a grain of salt unless there happens to be an official presentation.

Given the past record of Millie Amand, however, fans may end up witnessing a surprise in terms of new features related to gameplay. It will be interesting to see what eventually comes out of the flagship event.

God of War Ragnarok is currently in development for the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.
