Elden Ring has become a global phenomenon since its launch. The Souls like masterpiece developed by FromSoftware has been raking in brilliant sales and reviews with many touting it as the game of the year. Significantly, with such fanfare surrounding the title, it’s no wonder many have been breathing the open-world game. But this was taken to the next level when a person brought the game to his partner’s delivery room.
A post is making the rounds on the internet showcasing this bizarre incident. This level of Elden Ring fanaticism is uncommon, if not unexpected. And one may say even the creators couldn’t have foreseen this development.
Saw this on Reddit on a gaming subreddit and was curious after reading the comments defending the guy.

Elden Ring meets a PlayStation superfan
Hidetaka Miyazaki’s seminal work Demon Souls led to the creation of a whole new genre of gaming. A punishing, grueling gameplay style that is only made rewarding by the player’s own perseverance and skill. As FromSoftware became the masters of this genre, innovating and perfecting mechanisms that make these games so addictive, the fanbase grew tremendously.
Significantly, Elden Ring is the culmination of the studio’s decades’ worth of experience. A masterclass in gaming and one of the studio’s most ambitious projects ever. And fortunately, the community has received it with much fanfare and hype.
But that doesn’t even begin to describe what makes an individual carry the game with them into their partner’s delivery room. The photo attached to the incident reads “he literally brought Elden Ring to the delivery room.”
While there are a lot of opinions about whether this is acceptable behavior, one thing is for sure, this person really loves himself some Elden Ring. Perhaps it is this obsession with the title that has led to 12 million tarnished joining the game’s fold. Furthermore, this number would only grow as time goes on.

Twitter has had a diverse range of reactions to the post. While many have had an extreme reaction, some have tried to offer a more middle-of-the-road take on the matter.
Having birthed a live human before, i can say that the bulk majority spent in delivery is wholely boring. Most of the time is spent doing nothing. I brought a laptop, we watched movies till my labor transitioned and i couldn't focus. I say good on him and good on his wife.

idk, it would depend if I was actively in labor or not. if I was, then yeah that’s disrespectful. But if not I can’t really get out the hospital bed and stop him.😂 Plus delivering a baby could take minutes or hours depending on the woman
