PlayStation 5 is back with a bang. The NDP Group has recently released its January 2022 report for the best-selling hardware platform in the first month of 2022 for both sales and dollars. And as expected, PlayStation 5 has been able to beat the Xbox Series family and Nintendo Switch despite the huge restock issue.

Interestingly, the two biggest takeaways from this January 2022 report will be that Nintendo Switch slips away from the top position in the best-selling hardware platform sales charts, and Pokemon Legends: Arceus is the best-selling game for January 2022.

PlayStation 5 becomes the Bestselling console for January 2022

The global chip shortage due to pandemics and its restrictions have made the next-gen consoles quite hard to come by. Even after 1 year, fans are still not able to get their hands on PlayStation 5 or even Xbox for that matter. However, unfortunately, according to some reports and rumors, the shortage can last as long as 2023.
