Sony Interactive Entertainment’s PS5 title Returnal is quite the spectacle. The game came out only a few days ago, April 30, and since it has become a talking point. It is extremely addictive, with insane VFX and the rougelike feature makes it a wonder to experience. Furthermore, with adaptive triggers of the PS5’s DualShock, the game is a delight to play.
However, many seasoned console players have found it difficult to beat the game. Many have marked the resemblance of Control and Hades in Returnal. The rougelike feature is the primary factor that makes this title highly addictive. Furthermore, the visuals with bio-mutants and dark sceneries and neon luminescence make it a treat at 4k 60 FPS.

The objective is to power through each level with the protagonist, Selena Vassos. She is stuck in a planet known as Astropos, and all you need to do is build up to finish each level to go on to the next. If you fail, the game will take you back to the last checkpoint from where you begin again.
Developing studio Housemarque seems to have delivered a winner with this title. After the success of Hades, it is only natural that we will see more such rougelike titles in the days to come.
Youtuber discovers built-in cheats in Returnal
YouTube channel TheRandomizer, has discovered something totally priceless for Returnal players. It seems like players can access some cheats in the game that are already debugged in there. Developers sometimes use cheats to race through levels while testing the game.
However, for some odd reason these cheats in Returnal are still present. Players can access them only by attaching a keyboard to their PlayStation 5. Here are all the commands players can use to gain some illegal benefits:
- Press & Hold shift, control, alt 1 to 0 drops your current level weapons.
- Press & Hold shift, control, 8 instantly takes you last place (First Cycle)
- Press & Hold shift, control, 4 instantly takes you back to ship.
- Do not use 3 or 7 otherwise your game will freeze.
