It really impressed people with its graphical fidelity, cooling power, UFO-like design, and HD rumble-inspired controller. Even though there were some supply issues at the beginning, people started getting their own Playstation 5 consoles gradually.

And recently it was announced that Sony has already sold around 30 million units. This is not a small feat for a system that was plagued with supply issues from the get-go. And not it seems those 30 million Playstation 5 consoles might have a glaring issue.

Before it was launched in markets across the world, Mark Cerny talked in detail about the design of Playstation 5. He put forward the thought that its design was influenced by game developers that were working on games for it.

In addition, he explained how particular they were about choosing every component, and how every component works to make ps5 the ultimate powerhouse. He also said that most developers primarily demanded an NVMe drive for this next-gen console. Load times, texture pop-ins, and flickering were some of the biggest issues gamers were facing during the last gen.

Some games taking close to three to four minutes to load was a huge problem. NVME fixed that issue. Another big issue was the heavy noises that PlayStation 4 consoles made when they were running some really graphically taxing games.

The community was made aware that this new console had some really sophisticated cooling tech at work. As a matter of fact, it employs some sort of liquid metal, which is basically an alloy made out of mixing Gallium and Indium. This liquid does the purpose of cooling down the processor whilst running heavy games for you.

The problem arises when owners keep the Playstation 5 vertically, the liquid metal simply collects at the bottom of its casing which some people are saying can be bad news for the console. There are chances that this liquid metal might spill out of the APU casing. Leaking out means less heat gets absorbed from the APU and the console stops running as chill as it does and consequently, produces noises too.

And this might sound like a jab at the expense of this console, but in the long run, this joke would become pretty cruel, as there are chances that this console is not prepared to operate without the help of that liquid metal. And this would mean the console would somehow get damaged.
