With the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, fans will receive the much-awaited Zombies mode next month. It’s coming with tons of classic elements inspired by Treyarch’s Black Ops franchise. However, a newly leaked intel has now also revealed that some of the Zombies in the game might be too friendly. So much so, that one will be able to pet them!

At first, it sounds like a suicidal mission, to say the least for any player. Especially, when given the fact that Zombies in Call of Duty universe have been deadly so far in most of the installments. But going by an insider’s claim, featured in a document, things may not be as haunting as expected in Modern Warfare Zombies.

Leaked detail mentions Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 having ‘adorable’ Hellhound Zombies

For the uninitiated, the Hellhounds are a very aggressive and murderous type of zombie. They are encountered on their own round in games like World at War, Black Ops, Black Ops 2, Black Ops 3, Black Ops 4, and Black Ops Cold War. In simple words, they are zombie dogs and are a mutated version of Fluffy. The latter is a pet of Samantha Maxis, from Black Ops Zombies storyline.

According to the lore, Fluffy was put in the Der Riese mainframe teleporter. Eventually, the dog was turned into a deadly Hellhound. The latter will also show up in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Zombies mode. Recently, an insider ended up sharing a lot of intel related to zombies in the awaited game. It’s been claimed that players will be able to pet Hellhound zombie dogs!

The document containing the leaked information clearly referred to Hellhounds as the ones who would be available to be petted. This means, players may have a different option to tackle them instead of simply going for the kill. Now that sounds like a wild twist to the combat system. Speaking more of Hellhounds, they will be part of the ‘Elite Zombies’ category.

What to expect from Modern Warfare 3 Zombies?

It will be an open-world mode, set in the large map of Urzikstan. Based on a PvE format, it will require the players to go against massive hordes of the undead. Their main objective will be to complete certain missions, loot items, and then extract them successfully.

Interestingly, the map appearing in the Zombies mode is also the new Warzone map. It was initially revealed earlier this month during the COD Next event. Coming back to the Zombies experience, it will bring back a lot of Wonder Weapons too from Black Ops titles. For example, the Ray Gun will be there for fans to try out. Additionally, a new option in the Scorcher will also be available.

Speaking of the latest leak, once again, it will be interesting to see if it’s really true or not. Hopefully, developers will provide clarity on this situation soon.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is set to release on November 10.
