Square Enix‘s masterpiece Final Fantasy is a famous name in the gaming industry. This massively multiplayer online game offered a one-of-a-kind gaming experience in the RPG universe. Truly, Final Fantasy XIV became one of the hit games on PlayStation. Although its debut launch on PlayStation 3 failed due to many reasons, this game’s renewed support for PlayStations 4 and 5 became a massive hit among players. Now Final Fantasy XIV will be released on Xbox too. 

Following this news, many Xbox users were excited to finally play their favorite game on their console. After Call of Duty, Final Fantasy XIV will be another PlayStation exclusive, which will soon join Xbox’s platform. 

Is Final Fantasy XIV really coming to Xbox?

The answer is absolutely yes. Recently, Microsoft Xbox’s head Phil Spencer confirmed on his official X platform about Final Fantasy XIV coming to Xbox. He added more details about the event where he shared the stage with Naoki Yoshida and Takashi Kiryu, Square Enix’s new CEO to officially announce the news to their fans. 

Adding further details to his post he expressed his excitement about more future partnerships with Square Enix- “We’re thrilled that the Xbox community will join the Warriors of Light and we look forward to partnering closely with Square Enix on future games.”

Since the release of Final Fantasy XIV in 2013, only PlayStation and PC players could enjoy the game’s massive multiplayer mode online. Yoshida confirmed that Final Fantasy fans were asking the developers since long back to launch this game on Xbox as well. Finally, it seems that Xbox users’ wishes have been granted by both the Xbox team and Square Enix. Since this announcement, Final Fantasy fans are eagerly waiting for this game to launch on Xbox. 

Is it good news for Xbox users?

This announcement is really good news for Xbox users. This is because Final Fantasy XIV will load faster in Xbox Series X/S. In fact, Xbox X series users can enjoy 4K graphics resolution enjoying brilliant gameplay. The cherry on top is Xbox users don’t even have to wait for the game’s latest expansion to experience it on their Xbox consoles.

Final Fantasy XIV’s director Yoshida assured fans that the game’s official version will launch on Xbox in the Spring of 2024. Developers will also offer an open beta test for players to check the gameplay beforehand. Yoshida’s statement cheered Xbox users to quickly sign up for the game’s beta test.
