PewDiePie still remains to be one of the most influential streamers of all time. Before the rise to superstardom of popular YouTube names, PewDiePie was the poster face of the YouTube creator community. The fan following of the streamer goes well beyond the gaming community. Back in the day, his reaction videos were a treat for the audience. Now, as the creator has decided to give most of his time to his family, there are some rare interactive sessions. Revisiting one such interaction, the community found out the darkest confession of the streamer.
The early years of gaming evolution were reliant on an elite list of titles. One such game was the 1997 CipSoft-developed “Tibia”. All the PewDiePie fans might remember the frequent mention of Tibia by the streamer. Well, the dark confession is traced back to the game in its early days. The latter, for the sake of some assets in the game, has planned a full-fledged robbery with his friends. And it’s not the casual teenage fun but a case of theft as described by the streamer himself. Fans were stunned as the story can end up PewDiePie in jail!

In a candid confession, the ‘Former YouTube King’ revealed the worst thing to ever do to someone. And yes, it involved data theft. The episode goes back to the days when Tibia was the most popular game in Sweden. Being a Swedish-born, the creator briefed on the craze of Tibia in the country back in the day. People would sell/ purchase Tibia assets for real money on eBay. Surprisingly, it was a major trading contributor to eSports.
The streamer was approached by a stranger for an item he wanted. They both had fixed a meeting at a net cafe to move ahead with the deal. After completing the deal, the story took a turn. The latter used keylogger software to get the account details of the stranger. He logged into the buyer’s Tibia account and sent the purchased item back to himself. If you think it ended here, you are not a PewDiePie fan. His love for pranks was still the same back then, or maybe more. Once done with reimbursing his assets, he stole all the assets of the stranger as well. Adding to this, he killed the player’s character in the game.
