MrBeast is arguably the biggest YouTuber on the planet right now. The 25-year-old is also on track to becoming the first content creator billionaire! But he still believes in giving back to the community and recently built 100 water sources in Africa. Amidst all this success, there is still one title that eludes him. MrBeast is yet to become the most subscribed channel on YouTube.

The channel on top, T-Series, is ahead by a huge margin. While MrBeast’s channel is growing steadily, the question arises: when will he surpass T-Series? The answer, however, might not be what the fans expect.

The battle of subscribers with T-Series is not a new one

This is not the first time a YouTuber has waged a subscriber war against T-Series. In 2019, Swedish YouTuber PewDiePie started a subscriber race with T-Series after the music label surpassed him. Many of his fans made efforts to gain subscribers for his YouTube channel in numerous ways, including organized marches and supportive YouTube videos. One of those fans was MrBeast, who actively campaigned for PewDiePie. On the other hand, PewDiePie also released a famous diss track against T-Series. At one point, both channels were on par with each other.

Unfortunately, PewDiePie lost this subscriber battle and T-Series has reigned on top ever since. But after playing a supportive role in the first battle, MrBeast has taken it upon himself to battle it out with T-Series now. The creator of the year is also nearing the subscriber count of the music label, with only 41,000,000 subscribers separating them. However, the YouTuber is trying not to repeat the same mistakes done by PewDiePie. And he started making amends by sending out a tweet.

MrBeast is trying not to make the same mistakes as PewDiePie

After PewDiePie released the diss track ‘B**ch Lasagna’ against T-Series, it caused chaos on the internet. Many fans of the Swedish YouTuber started to share controversial remarks. And this caused a wedge between the audiences. Many Indian fans who were supporting the Swedish YouTuber did not align with the views shared by some of his fans. While PewDiePie would later criticize these remarks, the damage was already done. This wedge in the fan base was one of the few reasons that led to T-Series surpassing PewDiePie.

Looking at this, MrBeast has taken pre-emptive steps to not repeat this mistake. He recently sent out a tweet to confirm his intentions are pure, and it’s just about becoming the highest subscribed channel.

This shows the 25-year-old is actively preparing to surpass the music label. And by declaring the subscriber race has nothing to do with countries, MrBeast has made it clear he will not be repeating the same mistakes as his Swedish counterpart. Now the big question that arises is whether he will surpass the music label in subscriber count.

Both MrBeast and T-Series are the only two channels in the world to surpass the 200 million mark on YouTube. To show how big the gap between them and other channels is, the third highest subscribed channel on YouTube is Cocomelon, with only 167 million subscribers. On the other hand, MrBeast has 211 million subscribers and T-Series has 253 million subscribers.

Can MrBeast surpass T-Series in subscriber count?

While the two channels are in a league of their own, the outcome of their battle is presumably decided. With the rate MrBeast is growing, his fans have declared he will eventually surpass T-Series. It’s seemingly just a matter of time. Looking at the statistics, the claims made by the fans can hold some weight.

Just looking at the charts, MrBeast has made exponential growth to the top, averaging around 296,000 subscribers gained every day. While T-Series is growing at a pace of 66,000 subscribers per day. If both the channels keep this pace for the next year, MrBeast is bound to surpass T-Series in 5-6 months. It means by May or June 2024, MrBeast can be crowned as the most subscribed YouTube channel.

But the 25-year-old has surpassed T-Series in one department. He has gained more subscribers with a lesser amount of videos. For MrBeast’s 767 videos, he has gained 211 million subscribers, averaging 275,000 subscribers per video. Meanwhile, the T-Series has 253 million subscribers for 19,000 videos, which means 13,000 subscribers per video.
