Halo: Infinite releases later this year and is expected to run fine on the last-gen Xbox One. The people working on the game know that not everyone has managed to get their hands on a new console. That is why they’re trying to ensure the game looks great and runs fine on the last-gen console. They have learned from Cyberpunk 2077’s errors, and the game is being tested on the Xbox One on a regular basis. The recent technical preview livestream for Halo: Infinite showed off some footage of the game running on the Xbox One.

Halo: Infinite won’t be following in Cyberpunk 2077’s footsteps
343’s motivation to release the game on Xbox One is that they don’t want users of the console to miss out on the game. “We know there are a large amount of Xbox One players out there, especially as frankly some people are still eager to acquire a new console,” the Community Director of 343 Industries, Brian Jarrad, said during the livestream.
“I try and playtest on Xbox One as much as possible because it’s a really important thing for us to support and make sure it’s looking good,” he said, reassuring fans that 343 is doing its best to ensure an immersive experience on Xbox One. And it is super unlikely that the game will meet a fate similar to that of Cyberpunk 2077.

Cyberpunk 2077’s disappointing launch
Cyberpunk 2077 was one of the most hyped games ever made. Gamers had been waiting for the game to release for years, and after many delays, they finally didn’t get what they wanted. PlayStation had to remove the game from the store. Now, months removed from the game’s release date, the devs update the game pretty often. But, needless to say, the game still has a long way to go.
