Coming from the city of Paraguay, Hernandarias, a lawyer displays his collection of gaming accessories for more more than 45 years. And yes, Nintendo is a part of that. Moreover, he brings a message to everyone with his collection.

The lawyer Raúl Maizares holds a collection of 68 consoles, which are recognized as legendary by lovers of video games. On top of that, Atari, Arcade, and Nintendo take a place in the collection. Amongst Raul’s priced possessions are two editions of Telejogo of the Philco brand, from 1977.

The lawyer keeps a treasure of consoles like Nintendo, Xbox, and PlayStation to date

In a meeting with Ultima Hora, the lawyer displays his vast collection of consoles throughout the course of time. Surprisingly, the collector carries all ten versions of PlayStation and four versions of Xbox. The 1988 version of Sega Megadrive along with other versions shines in his collection.

1976 Atari Ultra Pong Doubles, Virtual Boy, and 1977 Portable Blipp are other consoles that are in his collection. Surprisingly, the gamer keeps up to present-day versions of Nintendo.

29 August marks World Gamers Day. Keeping this in mind, the Hernanadarias gamer portrays an important message to the community. Furthermore, he marks the change in the role of television over the years. By marking that “It was a revolution really,” he highlights that the television has gone from being an appliance to an interactive technological model.

Furthermore, he says, “Perhaps the Atari is the one that reached more homes, it was not the first, but it was the most emblematic. Before that there was the Magna Box, which was two little lines and a tennis-like ball. That is the first generation and today we are in the ninth generation. What is actually celebrated for the Day of the Video Game or Gamer is the culture of the video game”.

Gamers speak about the reality of maintaining such a collection

Raul briefly reflects on the course that video games have taken in recent times. He signifies that, in the present time, one can simply enjoy the fun of video games through smartphones. In addition, he portrays his reason behind collecting the consoles. He says, “Particularly since 1977 I have been collecting, first to avoid throwing away the consoles”.

Presenting his collection, he talks about his ideology for doing so. He spreads awareness about something that has been considered a type of health disorder by the World Health Organization”. Most importantly, he points out that collecting games should be a hobby than an obsession. Also, spreads awareness about the cost of maintenance required to keep the consoles running and safe.
