The ways to make players more intrigued by a game are endless. But one that has quite proved its worth countless times across various gaming titles are collaborations. These not only push players to try out the cool new cosmetics but also makes a bridge between the fans of both the featured titles.

This broadens the consumer base as well for the title. It seems like Overwatch 2 is ready to experiment with this concept by bringing one of the strongest Anime characters into their battlegrounds.

Anime collaborations have witnessed massive success among games. The recent My Hero Academia and Dragon Ball Z collab in the popular battle royale giant Fortnite was a hit among its players. Now, the popular hero-based FPS shooter Overwatch 2 is following a similar path.

They are bringing One Punch Man into its cosmetic circles and thus introducing the first-ever massive collaboration of the game. Of course, the game itself has its own one-hit killing machine Doomfist. And it is a brilliant move to amalgamate his anime counterpart in for the collaboration. This partnership will be bringing various character-themed skins from the popular anime into the hero shooter.

The main highlight would be the Doomfist x Saitama skin line, as both share stark similarities. Genji, the silent assassin of Overwatch 2, will be themed with Genos. Kiriko has been paired with Terrible Tornado and the killing machine Soldier 76 received the Mumen Rider skin line.

Most items can be obtained through the store. They would be available for a limited time, starting on March 7, 2023, to April 6, 2023. The trailer that was released in accordance with the collaboration gives the audience an in-depth view of what these cosmetics will be like in the game.

The excitement does not even stop here. Players of the Overwatch 2 are given an opportunity to win a brand new legendary skin for free in the game. There are six challenges featured in the event. Completing each will grant players XP and some items themed around the collaborated anime. Completing the last challenge in the tasks will grant players the legendary Mumen Rider skin of Soldier 76.

Players are also given the option to buy all these three featured premium skins at a discounted price of 4,400 coins. When put in comparison with dollars, the bundle will cost around $44. If bought individually, the Saitama x Doomfist skin would cost 2,500 coins, the Kiriko x Terrible Tornado skin will cost 2,100 coins and the Genji x Genos skin line would cost 1,900 coins.
