The current state of Call of Duty is not great by any means. Following recent releases such as Vanguard and then Modern Warfare II, it seems like there’s nothing the fans of this iconic, action series can truly enjoy.
While there were hopes from 2023’s rumored Modern Warfare III, it seems like that game will also end up disappointing the players. At least that’s what an insider has suggested recently. Interestingly, the same individual is still optimistic about the future of Activision’s long-running franchise. According to him, there’s only one game that can actually save it from sinking – CoD 2024.

Alaix has earned a reputation for being a prominent source for major updates on different CoD titles. Recently, he posted a tweet regarding the series’ fate going forward, while indicating a ray of hope. The scooper mentioned in his tweet that Treyarch Studios’ upcoming installment next year, rumored to be Black Ops 2024, could end up rescuing the dying franchise.
“Treyarch to the rescue. Can’t wait for 2024“, read the tweet, while suggesting that Call of Duty 2024 is the last hope for the action series.

There’s a reason why the insider believes the game from Treyarch will be a savior for the FPS brand. Alaix had shared a different tweet before the one posted above, where he revealed that 2023’s upcoming installment won’t be good at all. This means that if anyone was expecting it to be a comeback from the franchise, after Vanguard and Modern Warfare II, should drop their hopes right now.

Hence, Alaix is now only looking forward to 2024’s entry from the developer of the Black Ops Cold War. Treyarch is the only studio that has maintained a reputation among fans for offering amazing experiences in nearly every CoD game made by its team. The same could hold true for the next year’s game too, if everything goes well.
