The YouTube icon IShowSpeed has been the pick of all the streamers lately. He has been dominating the internet trends for a long while now. Also, his love for the game of soccer is crazy. Thus, all his fans were looking forward to his performance on the field. While the performance might not have been an ideal one for his fans, the demand to watch Speed with the ball went throughout the game. 

The stadium had an attendance of around 60,000 people. Adding to that, more than 2,500,000 people watched the match stream live. Yung Filly, the British YouTube star who was also the teammate of Speed for the game revealed how the spectators present at the venue were just rooting for Speed’s possession of the ball.

“If you were there at the charity match, you must have seen it. Everytime one of us got a ball, the only thing you heard was Speed! Speed! Speed! They didn’t even care if you skilled or not, they just wanted Speed to have the ball”, he stated during a recent live interaction. 

Adding to that he also expressed how the Sidemen Charity match helped his mother find a friend. Filly stated, “My mom and Speed’s mom became friends. They exchanged numbers. She promised that whenever she’s in London, she’s gonna come and check on my mom. Super random.”

Undoubtedly, the craze for IShowSpeed runs way beyond the streaming community, making him one of the poster features in the charity match. 

The ‘Speedy’ preparations for next year! 

The final result of the match didn’t go as the Speed fans had desired. Not just the fact that his team lost to Sidemen FC by a margin of three goals, but Speed missing the penalty was the shock of the day. 

While the performance of the FIFA streamer might have been disappointing for his fans, the star creator has assured his fans of a stronger comeback. The fans are already convinced of a banger redemption arc as they await next year’s charity match. No surprises, if the next house-packed stadium is also filled with the chants of Speed! Speed!
