Call of Duty Modern Warfare II is continuing to break records ever since it made an awaited debut last month. After seeing disappointment in last year’s Vanguard, Activision has eventually found the most profitable CoD yet.

While the newest installment is available right, it’s been reported that Modern Warfare II will stretch further in its Year 2 in 2023. The expansion will be in the form of a premium DLC, continuing the Campaign of the 2022 offering. However, most of the fans are now frustrated due to an annoying possibility regarding the overall game and its total cost that might reach the mark of $140.
After paying $70 for 2022’s Modern Warfare II, Call of Duty fans feel additional $70 for a paid DLC will be “ridiculous”
In case anyone missed to keep a track, Activision has confirmed a new premium for 2023. It means that Call of Duty will get another game next year, however it won’t be a standalone entry. Bloomberg’s reputed journalist Jason Schreier took to Twitter to present some clarity to those who are thinking that there will be a brand new CoD offering from the publisher. But that’s not going to be the case at all.
Let me make this super clear:
– The next game, by Treyarch, is coming out in 2024
– Next year there will be a Modern Warfare II "premium" (paid) expansion by Sledgehammer
– It's supposed to have lots of content! Maybe that's why they call it a "full" release. But it's more MWII https://t.co/jXKAiMFcTf— Jason Schreier (@jasonschreier) November 7, 2022
Per Schreier, the 2023 game will be a continuation of the recently launched Modern Warfare II. The reason Activision has called next year’s offering a “full premium” is because they might end up making a $70 DLC, similar to the price of a full video game.
“It’s called a full premium release because they’re probably going to market and sell it as a $70 game with new single- and multiplayer content. But it’s more MWII,” wrote Schreier.
Man lol you keep falling for the same PR language. It's a continuation of Modern Warfare II. It's called a full premium release because they're probably going to market and sell it as a $70 game with new single- and multiplayer content. But it's more MWII

This is something most of the fans are not liking though. As soon as Jason’s tweets spread across Twitter, many Call of Duty players began to express their feelings towards the latest news. According to them, in case Activision keeps the next year’s premium DLC priced at $70, it will be totally unacceptable.
Most of the fans are feeling cheated. They think that they have already paid $70 for 2022’s CoD and paying another $70 for its DLC expansion in 2023 will take the price of the entire game up to $140. Which is insane and confusing at the same time from the perspective of the players.
Simply put, majority of the fans are saying no to a $140 price tag. “only thing premium about it will be the price,” wrote one user who thought that the premium DLC won’t consist of anything in terms of valuable content.

this is ridiculous, bunch of money hungry fiends. All this is, is just giving us half of what we should of gotten so at the end of the day players are expected to pay $140 for "MWII" which is an absurd price tag for a game. Arguably expected but still extremely dissapointed.

Wait. I'm so confused. So this basically means that i have to pay 140€ (not counting discounts) to play the full version of MWII of I just decide to puy the normal edition. Correct? Isn't that… too much? For a CoD Game? Idk. Only time will tell.https://t.co/ObpaM8Ucph

Company made a billion off the back of this ? Think theyll use any of that so ps4 players can actually play what they paid £70 for in this half finished mess of a game? At £70 you would at least expect quality not this trash !! 🤬🤬 pic.twitter.com/5cHiFJ4c3h

So, a $70 dlc plus paid for battle pass. They're upcharging us and we don't even know it. They took out dlc just to increase the price on dlc and sell it back to us. LOVE!!!
