One of the biggest selling points of Valorant, apart from the gameplay features, is the content updates they bring. These content updates include skins for a variety of weapons in the game, each with their unique animations. These come consistently, with nearly every single update bringing a new skin to the game.
With the newest patch, Riot Games added a whole bunch of skins to the game. The skin bundle has a unique theme, with dragon figureheads etched into the skin. Fans made their feelings about the bundles very clear after release.

New skins are a regular feature of Valorant. As a result, Riot Games needs to innovate with every single release. Named Imperium, the new skin bundle came as part of the 7.03 patch. The most prominent feature of the skin is its color; the combination of emerald with touches of gold all over the skin. As a result, fans feel it is quite similar to the Serenity bundle as well as the Forsaken bundle.

If the emerald color is not really your thing, Valorant also offers the skin in three other colors. Emerald is just the default color. Apart from that, Ruby, Pearl, and Obsidian variants are on offer as part of the bundle.

Interestingly, all of these skins feature dragons on the gun. Just behind the scope, over the trigger, players can find dragon figureheads. It is a nice added touch to the skin. As for the knives, they feature two dragonheads on the guard, in the colors of the bundle.
Fans have mixed reactions to the bundle, with many not impressed
As soon as fans saw the skin come out, the Internet flooded with reactions. Initial impressions of the skin left fans impressed. The thing they seem to like the most is the colors Riot chose, especially for the Variants. In the past, Valorant received mixed reactions to color choices with skins. This bundle is a positive sign for future releases.

It seems fans disliked the emerald default color. However, the variant colors are not the only thing that will persuade this fan to buy. Like a lot of other players, this fan will only buy if the skin has cool animations in the game. These animations are fun takes on the design of the skin, and for a lot of bundles, it makes or breaks them.
really like the colors when its not green, ruby, pearl and obsidian go hard but only copping if the animations are nice

A lot of fans felt the skin felt like it was just old skins used to create new ones, instead of coming up with actual new content. It seems in line with the resemblances the bundle has with the Serenity and the Forsaken bundles. This fan highlighted the issue of repetitive skins quite well. Instead of bringing similar skins in every update, Riot could focus on putting in more hours with the skins. Since these skins are the only way Riot makes money off a free-to-play title, the need for new skins every few days or weeks is seen.
Maybe one day we'll get a cute exclusive skin bundle instead of rehashes of the same skin designs over and over…😒

While one fan expressed their displeasure about the skin looking similar to old ones through an explanation, another fan went a different route. They needed nothing more than a simple meme to express what they felt.

The skin certainly highlights the plight Valorant players face. A lot of the skins that are released feel like quick money grabs instead of skins fans actually love. Fans hope Valorant ups their skin design game soon.
