Video games have come a long way from the old, classic era. Now, they bask in the glory of a time where technology plays a huge role. This is inevitably true for many popular titles that come out these days, aided heavily by artificial intelligence, which is literally present everywhere. And there are few gaming enthusiasts who don’t like this growing trend, especially when it comes to a franchise like Call of Duty.

A famous YouTuber has called out the makers of the latest Call of Duty Modern Warfare II title, over a crucial reason. According to him, MWII is not a video game, but just a product based on the growing impact of algorithms provided by artificial intelligence.

WILDCAT thinks Call of Duty Modern Warfare II is just an algorithm lacking ‘substance’

Call of Duty games are loved by most people across the globe. Almost every year, a new entry in the long-running franchise comes out and sways with its performance in sales and overall impact. But YouTuber Tyler, aka WILDCAT, has a different opinion on why this series has lost its sheen despite doing great in terms of earning massive revenue.

WILDCAT recently tweeted out his opinions on Modern Warfare II, the latest premium offering from Activision and Infinity Ward. According to him, this installment is not a video game but just “an algorithm designed to capture as much human attention as possible and convert it into dollars.

Moreover, he also mentioned that these days, Call of Duty makers have only one purpose: to earn more money at the expense of substance.

Tyler believes that similar to the newest CoD game, most of the other AAA titles are all about a live service format in which they want to keep making money from the users. “I need video games with some substance not data driven engagement optimized cash suckers,” the YouTuber wrote in his other tweet.

Meanwhile, reputed CoD insider RalphsValve, on Twitter, didn’t seem to agree with Tyler’s thoughts on MWII. Per Ralph, the YouTuber ignored the efforts of the people involved in making this video game. “Statements like this takes away from all the real people who’ve put years into Art, Animation, Design and more for this game,” he wrote.
