Valorant has taken inspecting guns in-game to a new level. With each new skin, there is an inspect animation accompanying it. Once CS:GO fans saw the animation, they were angry, mentioning that it was a copy of the Deagle animation. Here is the animation for the new sheriff skin.
It does look quite similar to the rare inspect animation for CS:GO. Fans seemed quite shocked after seeing this in Valorant, calling out Riot Games for “copying” the Deagle from CS:GO. The entire argument of Valorant copying CS:GO has been around ever since the former’s reveal back in 2020. While most CS:GO fans were outraged about the animation, some even commented the entire game was a copy. These comments were especially common during Valorant’s early days. They continue today amidst the release of this new skin.
Whether it is a simple copy or just a random coincidence, CS:GO fans were quite unhappy with the entire matter. Some Valorant fans argued CS2 used Valorant’s system of buy menu, where players could sell their guns. Additionally, they argued the new menu system in CS2 looks very similar to Valorant’s buy menu.
