Nostalgia Hits Fans as Nintendo Brings 2 Beloved N64 Classic Mario Games to Switch Online

Nintendo announced that two of their beloved N64 Mario games will be available on the Switch for the Expansion pack members. The Japanese giants reported on Twitter that the Switch Online + Expansion service just got even better with brand-new additions to its catalog of classic games.

The Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion service is an add-on to the online service provided by the company. The expansion offers classic N64, Sega Genesis, and Super NES titles such as Super Mario 64, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Castlevania: Bloodlines, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, and many more beloved games for the Switch. 

The Expansion pack was pretty underwhelming in the initial launch, but as time moved forward, Nintendo added a lot of value to the service, making it quite worthy of the subscription. Now it reaches an even higher standard as two of the beloved Mario games from N64 join its library. 

N64 Mario Party games coming to Nintendo Switch 

In the latest addition to their expansion service, Nintendo has added two beloved N64 games, Mario Party and Mario Party 2. The games were initially launched on the N64 system back in 1998 and 1999. The Switch Online function will support both of the games and they will have a four-player multiplayer mode.

On November 2, 2022, the official Twitter account of Nintendo announced the news on social media. The tweet said, “Face your friends and family in a contest of strength, wits, and agility in #MarioParty and Mario Party 2, now available on #NintendoSwitch for #NintendoSwitchOnline + Expansion Pack members!”

If you are looking for a great classic selection and a variety of backlog support, then the expansion can be a great deal for you. And as Nintendo keeps on upgrading the pack with each passing day, the future of the subscription service looks very bright.
