It hasn’t been a good year for the Sentinels as they bumped into several hurdles during VCT Challengers 2022. The team’s gameplay lagged in terms of strategies and synergy. As a result, the unexpected happened and Sentinels couldn’t qualify for the Valorant Champions 2022 through Circuit Points.
Then again, the team received a boon in the form of a Last Chance Qualifiers slot, after Ghost Gaming’s loss to NRG in Stage 2 playoffs. And, Shroud will be a part of the same, both as a comeback to the competitive scene and as an entry into the world of Valorant Competitive.
Streamers react to Shroud returning to competitive
Fans, analysts, and streamers all over the world are still in major disbelief. According to Shroud, even people inside of the organization thought he was trolling. “When we threw my name into the bucket of the players that they can use as a fifth, everybody thought I was trolling. Everybody… the players, the owner, everybody. They still might, who knows? You guys probably think it is a troll too,” he shared.

Shroud also mentioned how he’s totally invested in the game and making a comeback. “I am not going to half-ass, that’s gonna be dumb. That would just be a shitty move for me and for the team,” Shroud shared.
Sentinels’ TenZ, who gets a special shoutout from Shroud at the end of the video, also couldn’t believe the same at first. He was on stream with Shroud when the announcement happened. “Is that real?” he asked in disbelief. “Is there a timeline where I saw this happening? No way, holy s***t!”
Below is a reaction from xQc himself!
No one saw this coming, including Pokimane. “I am so hyped for this!” she exclaimed!

Shroud do be the type to tease retiring from cs, not retire, then retire, then blow up on twitch, then get the bag with mixer, then return to blowing up on twitch, and go pro in valorant

While most fans are hyped about the announcement, the returning legend has a month to grind and set things up with the Sentinels. In fact, several analysts are divided over Sentinels’ decision to hire Shroud. But, with the kind of experience he has and his techniques, Shroud definitely has the potential to conquer the grounds at the upcoming LCQ!
