Hogwarts Legacy is not just a re-imagination of the famous J. K. Rowling novel series Harry Potter, but also a brand new experience for Potterheads to explore their beloved magic school from a new perspective. Thus, the news of the game getting delayed to another year is heart-breaking.

Fans are extremely upset about the fact that Hogwarts Legacy is getting delayed for another year. The news, when updated on Twitter, brought a lot of backlash from the fans.

The reason given behind this is that the game had some porting issues with the Nintendo Switch. Fans even started ranting about how many years the game had already taken to give an official release date.

Notably, Avalanche Studios also released a video on Twitter apologizing to fans for the delay. It is also to be noted that some fans, although upset, found some relief after knowing that the game has given a particular release date at least.

Why is Hogwarts Legacy getting delayed?
The reason given behind this is purely based on the fact that the game might still be a bit buggy at places and need some refinement. As the Twitter post also suggests, the game will be released soon “but we need a little more time to deliver the best possible game experience.”
Another speculation that can be considered is the fact that God of War : Ragnarok is also releasing this year on November 9. Thus it is highly possible for it to dominate the market for a while, thus Hogwarts Legacy might be avoiding a direct confrontation with that game.
