Nixxes Software Has Officially Joined the Playstation Family

Another studio has joined the PlayStation family, and this time, it is Nixxes Software. Nixxes Software is popularly known for port games on multiple platforms. Nixxes Software has exceptional experience in video game design. However, the actual role of Nixxes Software is much less focused on Game Development. It is more focused on in-house technical and developmental capabilities for the Playstation Studios. It will join the Playstation Studio Technology’s creative and service group.

Nixxes studio has worked on multiple popular titles such as Deus EX: Mankind Divided, The Tom Raider Series, and the most recent one Marvel’s Avengers. Nixxes has a talented team, and it is no surprise that Sony saw fit to join hands with the company.

The Head of Playstation Studios, Hermen Hulst, announced this significant news on Twitter.

In the official press release, the PlayStation studio boss said that he highly respects Nixess and is very excited for the experienced team to join the Playstation family. He added ” They [Nixxes] has a passion for improving games and for delivering the best possible experience for gamers. It will be a powerful asset for everyone across Playstation Studios on their most important goal, which is to create unique PlayStation content at the best possible quality. ”

More Playstation Tiles on PC

The addition of such a talented company to the PlayStation family shows that Sony is very serious about the PC version of PlayStation games. It means that they are investing more in PC version games.

At the starting of June 2021, Playstation studio boss, Herman Hulst, revealed that in the future there will be more and more PlayStation titles on PC. They are working hard for this behind the scenes. However, in any case, it does not mean that these new titles will appear on both platforms at the exact same time.

Bluepoint Games strongly emphasis that it is not at all associated with Sony. On the company’s description on Twitter, we can clearly read that it works Independently. This is most likely to be a response to the uncertain announcement that Bluepoint is also joining the Playstation studio.

However, this announcement was removed quickly. There is still no clarification about this situation. To even this day, no one knows what exactly happened there. For now, the only official news is that Bluepoint Games remains fully independent and Nixxes Software has joined hands with Sony.
