When Nintendo launched the latest trailer for their upcoming action-adventure game, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, it was specifically noted that it had some improvements in visuals over its predecessor.
Many on the internet ignored those factors; the reason was that they were infatuated with the story and the enemies that it featured. And now it looks like the internet has finally caught up with that observation. All thanks to a tweet from Nintendo, which promises fans something that was missing from the 2017 game.

Every big franchise that’s over 15-20 years old has seen a number of changes over the years. The games improve in every way possible. Their visuals get better, their gameplay mechanics, controls, and AI get better, and the sense of control the player has changed with time.
And it’s very common for fans to expect something new from a sequel when one is announced. Even if slight, these improvements make fans feel as if they are experiencing something new and not replaying the game they have already played years ago.

And no one knows this better than Nintendo; even when they develop games that are direct sequels to successful titles, they have something new to show. And so is the case with their upcoming game, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
It was very evident from their recently released trailer that it was better looking than Breath of the Wild. For one, it had way better viewing distance and textures. And these improvements make sense too, given the fact that this time, players can literally fly. A bad viewing distance can hinder that experience.

And as per Nintendo’s latest tweet, the game world of Tears of the Kingdom is even larger than that of its predecessor. And it would span both land and skies, which is pretty evident in its trailers too. Now that it has come straight from Nintendo, fans must be ready to experience a better-looking Hyrule in May.
Are these improvements hinting at Nintendo’s future?
It is not hidden from anyone that Nintendo is, in fact, working on a new console. Would it be called the Nintendo Switch 2 or something else? That is not yet confirmed. What is being strongly speculated about it is the fact that this new console would be portable and would be backward compatible.
