According to the latest reports, Splatoon 3 has turned into an instant hit for Nintendo in Japan. The Switch exclusive has outsold all past games that made their way in the region. It has set a new record with an unprecedented number of units sold in first three days.

Splatoon 3 is the third major installment in its franchise, developed by Nintendo. Similar to the predecessors, it also comes with online multiplayer PvP and PvE modes alongside the single-player campaign. The game made its debut just few days ago and it seems like the Switch exclusive is on track to become one of the best-selling games of all time.

Nintendo’s Corporate account on Twitter just shared a massive news regarding the game. Going by the official report, Splatoon 3 has become the biggest launch in Japan in the first three days ever.

It sold over 3.45 million units in the first three days while making a staggering debut domestically.

With that, Splatoon 3 is now the highest selling Nintendo Switch software in Japan for the duration of first three days. It has even ripped Final Fantasy VII Remake and Elden Ring apart. The two titles sold 1 million units each in the first three days and 2.5 weeks in Japan respectively.

It was obvious to expect a roaring reaction from the fans as soon as this news spread across the social media like wild fire. Gaming lovers were astonished to learn that Splatoon 3 has turned into such a monster IP for Nintendo.
