It seems like the company is back to its ways of cutting out on certain obstacles. Just recently, it’s been reported that Nintendo will now make a change in the packaging of the Switch in order to push the shipments even further.
Nintendo Switch to get a smaller packaging for more unit sales!
Ever since its debut five years ago, the Switch has dominated the markets worldwide. It’s managed to be a top-selling device, especially in comparison to high-end flagship consoles like the PS5 and the Xbox Series X|S models.
One cannot deny the fact that Nintendo Switch is the best portable gaming device at the moment. Players get so many titles to enjoy on the go and the developer and publisher never disappoint in releasing amazing exclusives. That way, the device keeps the players hooked for a longer duration, can be termed as its biggest strength.
To keep this momentum going, Nintendo is going to take a new approach to making and selling the Switch. Basically, the original handheld console will soon get reduced packaging. The company has decided to do this in order to boost shipping efficiency.
According to a Nikkei report Nintendo is planning to shrink the size of the Nintendo Switch packaging by 20%

Oh okay. Neat? I guess it could be a bit smaller, but whatever works the best for them

The OLED mode box is already a good chunk smaller (looks sleek!).
I wonder how reducing packaging helps with supply issues? Supply as in getting goods to customers (less packaging, more units per truck)?
