In May, the game developing company released a notice that marked the beginning of the end of an era. They released a notification regarding the eShop on Wii U or the Nintendo 3DS family of systems. It informed that users will no more be able to add funds to the account through credit cards.

Recently, the game development company rolled out a similar development. They declared that the users can no longer add funds through the Nintendo eShop card. However, they have given a window to let the users consolidate their balances.

The organization in a tweet informs the nature of the consolidation of the balances. They tweeted, “By linking your Nintendo Network ID to your Nintendo Account and consolidating your balance, you can continue to add to your balance using your credit card or Nintendo Prepaid Card.” Fortunately, the users will be able to download redeem codes till March 27, 2023.

Furthermore, they caution the users that the consolidating balances cannot be split again. They said, “If you unlink your Nintendo Account and Nintendo Network ID, all balances will remain in your Nintendo Account and your Nintendo Network ID balance will be 0 yen.”

Nonetheless, the company is facilitating the users to not lose their balances. As the news sounds saddening, the company has communicated its regard for the loyal fan base.
