Nintendo Switch would be completing six years in March. The system has been going pretty strong ever since it launched. Its hybrid form factor has surely worked in its favor when it comes to pulling new users.

And Nintendo has shown tremendous support to it with numerous high-quality games. Those first-party games were also accompanied by numerous third-party games. Third-party games that were actually well made and pretty good in quality. It was like for the first time, Nintendo made a system that was taken seriously by almost everyone.
But all this is about to change soon!
Nintendo Switch is approaching the end of its life cycle!
In January, Switch users would be getting their hands on Fire Emblem Engage, Nintendo’s own tactical role-playing game. And it would be followed by a Bayonetta spin-off. And then we would finally jump to the game that almost every Nintendo fan is waiting for, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
This upcoming game would surely set a new benchmark for numerous other anticipated games, as it is sure to be something special. And it has been a custom that every new Zelda game gives the gaming industry something unforgettable.
And then a bunch of reporters on Twitter mentioned that Nintendo has no plans of releasing any big games on Switch after that. It appears they would be switching their focus to Nintendo Switch 2, which is set to be the next big thing for Nintendo.

Now, this is both good news and bad news. Good news because finally, we would get some official confirmation regarding Switch 2. And it would be bad news for those who would want to see Metroid Prime 4 on Switch.
This game was announced for Nintendo Switch years ago and is still in development and now it seems it would either skip this console completely or become a cross-gen game.

There are still many games coming to Switch!
We know now that there are chances that we would not be seeing any big first-party games on Switch after the upcoming Zelda title. But we are sure to see some remasters and remakes. As news recently suggested that there might be a bunch of GameCube remasters for Nintendo Switch.
This list of remasters starts from the Metroid Prime trilogy and who knows, we might even get The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker remake!
